First day of Scorpio: A National Holiday

Yesterday 'twas a glorious day: The first day of Scorpio, aka the first day of the rest of my life (or month). Scorpio gives me an excuse to proudly fly my freak flag, set my laundry to cold wash for all my blackest of black clothes, and vampy goth make-up & accessories. Everything is full, lush, erotic, extreme, dark, dirty, broken, sharp, & morbidly romantic. Tell me what's better. If the answer is 'nothing', I'll be sending you a certificate in the mail as the smartest little fucker in the universe. All in all, hooray for stingers & such.
A new sign change also brings on some of my favorite things, such as new flowers & new nail polish choices. Well, just as it's been for the past few OCD ridden years, yesterday was no different. I marched my little leather pants down to the flower district, passed the bodegas & fine residents of skid row, and perused the blooms. I was on the hunt for Red. Now, I never, ever, ever buy red flowers, except during Scorpio. The right color red holds such femininity and lust, and I knew if I found the right ones, they'd be coming home with me. Immediately, I spotted the red cockscomb: velvety in it's texture, the vulgarity in it's name: it's easily one of my favorite flowers (often also comes in magenta & gold). What other little petals would make the cut? This was tricky since I hate most other flowers in red, and once I have red, I have to stick with red, cause red with 'a mixed bunch' makes me gag. So, I glance down at little red spray roses. Now, don't get me started on Red Roses. Few things on the planet are more repulsively cliche. Romance = Red Roses? Whoever made this rule shall be beheaded. This being said. I got them. Not out of spite, but because they were a good red, they're shape & texture complimented the cockscomb, and let's just be frank: they look pretty great when they die. And with that deathly thought: nothing seemed more well suited for scorpio then a blood red bunch of spray roses. Floras de Scorpio complete.
Along with new flowers come new nail polish:
(I'll keep this short)
'Clutch me if you can' -Essie, a dark cherry color
'Licorice' - Essie, black

One more thing!!!
I had a surprise visitor, her name is Dora. Say hi. She made my day. Everything I needed to do before work went right out the window, or rather into running around and belly-rubs.
